“In my studio, I have a curious vision: I see
myself float across the ceiling; my legs curl up
my back. A doorway opens on the top of my
head. I walk down steps and disappear within myself. A few days later, working on “The
Beatles Illustrated Lyrics” project, I read the
words to “There’s a Place”–‘There’s a place;
Where I can go; When I feel low; When I feel
blue; And it’s my mind.’ I recalled the vision
and it seemed to fit the song perfectly with
John as the dreamer."
